SO about three weeks ago it was my birthday! and i thought I would do a little (or should I say massive) birthday haul for you guys seeing as I keep talking about branching out my content.
I just want to put a disclaimer here: I am not posting this to show off or brag about the things I’ve got. I merely wish to share with those of you who might be interested 🙂
SO! The first things I was given were from my mum and they were a lovely locket with a Pegasus on it from a company called ? and a box of chocolates. I have no idea what I’m going to put in the locket though
She also got me two new books, The Horsman by Tim Pears and The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden, a couple of days after my birthday. I am very excited to read them 🙂
Then from a family friend who came to spend my birthday with us gave me some really cool presents.
He gave me a little wooden bowl with a green silk scarf in it, A jar of cashew butter, a little USB hub that looks like a little person (I named him Bob) and an awesome vintage radio times pullout magazine about DR who from the eighties!!! How cool!?
A friend also sent me a bracelet and a little owl brooch in the post.
The bracelet at the top is the one she sent.
Our neighbour also got me some storage boxes which I’m really glad about actually.
Then the day after my birthday, my step dad (he’s not really and I don’t like calling him that but there is no other way to describe him other than my mum’s partner but then that makes it sound like I hate him…) bought me a brand new Patagonia rucksack that is soooo nice!
THEN! three days after my birthday, my aunt took me out for a day in town. Originally we were going to get my ears pierced but it turned out I needed photo identification so… We ended up doing a mahoosive! shop.
The first thing we found was a phone case for my phone. Admittedly it is bright pink but it’s better than nothing.
Then we went into HMV first and I got Taylor Swift’s albums Red and 1989 and One Direction’s album Made In The AM
Then we headed to Clares where I got a pair of fake glasses, two aqua hair extensions, a flower crown, a red checked bandanna (which sadly I don’t have a photo of) and two packs of bracelets.
Next we headed to LUSH And I bought their Pumpkin bath bomb, Dragons Egg bath bomb and their Butterbear bath bomb.
He’s so cute!
And then finally we enterd Primark. At this point I got a bit excited in the home section and picked out a pair of cat headphones, a mini cinema light box and a box of copper wire fairy-lights.
The next day we did some more shopping and I ended up getting some new pins in Paperchase.
Then I got a phone tripod, some nail decor, a couple of notebooks and three jars of copper stationary essentials from Home Bargains.
I also went into Boots and got Zoella’s Weekly Goals desk planner, This Is Your Year desk calendar and her Cosy Vibes mug.
Other presents that I got from family members are Zoella’s book Girl Online which is amazing! an owl necklace and a new wash bag.
I also bought a new hairbrush, some Wilkos stationary, a Health and Happiness Planner and the DVD of BBCs Sherlock season one.
I did get some clothes but not many. I got a nice autumnal top with a black lace collar from a charity shop, two t-shirts, one grey with feathers and one pink with unicorns and then an autumnal coloured shirt.
I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it and I will see you all next week!
Today’s post is going to be split in two parts as each part is about very different things.
I meant to make a post of the first half last week but I have been very busy with redecorating our house.
As you may know I volunteer with the RDA. If you don’t know go check out my blog post about it over here ⇒ Volunteer Work.
Volunteering has actually brought me an opportunity that I never thought I would have.
One of the ponies, Finnigan, has had laminitis and so required a rider. Although I am not an expert and still learning the majority of riding, I offered, not thinking that anyone would say yes. However they agreed!
I now ride Finnigan every Monday after the RDA session has finished. At the moment I trot and walk him around the arena for half an hour max although a couple of times now I have been lucky enough to get to jump some very low jumps.
Often the RDA instructors are still around so I sometimes get a free lesson which is of course is always welcome.
(Thank you Instructors!)
When I am in the saddle, I feel so calm, so at home and so at one with the pony below me.
I am so lucky to have this opportunity and also now, as the summer break is upon us, Finnigan will have very little exercise over the eight weeks of holiday so I have the chance to ride him now and then throughout.
I would love to raise the pole sometime in the future and up my level of riding with Finnigan.
This part of the post may be quite boring as it is just me rambling on about blogging and what not so feel free to stop reading now XD
I was looking at my stats today and was delighted to see that in 2015, the first year of my blog, StableStoreys had 2 ,155 views. I find this amazing and it made me so happy to see that something I have created was so well seen.
However I was slightly sad to see that in StableStoreys’ second year it only had 1,253 views. That’s quite a big drop of 902 views and I was annoyed with myself as that is a consequence of my terrible posting in 2016.
Seeing the difference of 902 views has really made me determined to do better in blogging for the remainder of this year and to really raise my blogs standard next year when I have hopefully finished my GCSEs
Also I have downloaded the WordPress app on my phone so hopefully I can be slightly more active when I am away from home.
Hope you all enjoyed this slightly different blog post.
What is a challenge or tag you would like to see here on StableStoreys? Horsey or other. Leave any suggestions in the comments!
Today’s post is slightly different.
I was looking through Pinterest when I found something amazing.
I love miniatures and also architecture. So miniature houses really excite me.
And this really really really excited me:
It’s so amazing!!! ☼.☼ (｡♥‿♥｡)
I want it so bad!
I don’t think i have ever mentioned this before but I love to watch MyFroggyStuff on YouTube.
Her minitures are amazing and I have made some great stuff under her instruction.
towaco5oh recently shared a post with a couple of videos in it.
The channel thay came from is: The Square to Spare. There are some really good crafts on there that I may have to have a look at following.
This is my fave that I’ve looked at so far. I also love the below one.
Anyways sorry for the short post. I don’t have much time on my hands.
So a couple of days ago I told a fellow blogger that I would make this post so they could create gallery’s 🙂 So here goes!
In page/post writer choose ”Insert content”
Select the image/s you want to edit and click the button ”Edit”
Highlight the ”Image title”.
Type your new title and then click ”←Media Library”
Select all images you wish to add to the gallery and click ”Continue”
In the drop down menu ”Layout” choose ”Tiled Mosaic” and then click the button ”Insert”
Continue writing post/page as normal.
Publish! And there you go! When you hover over the images they should have the title that you chose.
Hope that helped 🙂
